"Corey fills a big need for us at 165," stated Eslinger. "We lose a conference champion in Josh Condon, but I think Corey has the ability to step right in and be successful at that weight."
Mock went 62-27 in his first two seasons with the Tar Heels, advancing to the NCAA Championships as a freshman and a sophomore. He led the Tar Heels with a 36-17 record as a freshman in 2011, finishing third at the ACC Championships. He was 26-10 last season, including a fifth place showing at the 2012 Southern Scuffle in Chattanooga.
The addition of Mock gives UTC three signees for the 2013 recruiting class. Chattanooga also inked prep standouts Kevin Cooper (Morning View, Ky.) and Michael Pongracz (Milford, N.J.) to National Letters of Intent in the early signing period.
