Soto captured the 2012 match 5-1. Thorn was a 10-2 winner this morning. He is the No. 3 seed and ranked No. 10 in the country, while Soto is the No. 6 seed and his is 15th nationally.
Soto followed his loss to Thorn this morning with an 8-2 triumph over the No. 5 seed Shelton Mack of Pittsburgh, the 12th-ranked 133-pounder in the nation. Missouri's Matt Manley was a 4-1 victim before Soto used a takedown with 20 seconds remaining in his match with Joe Roth for a thrilling 6-5 win over the fourth seeded and 11th-ranked senior from Central Michigan.
