Lady Mocs to Play in Stanford's Peg Barnard California Classic
Christine Wolf finished second to teammate Emma de Groot in the Lary Nelson Intercollegiate

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- The Chattanooga women’s golf team has made its way to the west coast for the University of Stanford Peg Barnard Invitational at the Stanford Golf Course to be played April 11-12.

The Stanford Course will play as a 6,117 yard, par-71 for the tournament named for Peg Barnard, an instrumental fund raiser for women’s athletics before women’s athletics merged with the men’s in the 1970’s.

Chattanooga will see new competition in San Jose State, UC Davis, Fresno State and national competitors in Portland State, Colorado and Hawaii. Last year, Stanford posted a three-stroke win over Denver with a 4-over par 572.

Two weeks ago the Lady Mocs posted their first spring tournament win with top golfers Emma de Groot and Christine Wolf finishing 1-2 in the victory.

Complete results will be available at at the completion of each round.
