STANFORD, Calif. – The Chattanooga women’s golf team finished 12th at the Peg Barnard California Collegiate in Stanford, Calif., Sunday posting a two-round score of 633 on the par 71 – 6,117 yard Stanford Golf Course.
Emma de Groot finished outside the top 10 for the first time in her collegiate career tied for 16th with a 151. Teammate Christine Wolfe fired a second round 73 on day two to finish one stroke behind at 152. Kayla Stewart carded identical 82s and Katie Taylor did the same with back-to-back 83s.
Stanford defended its title winning its tournament with a two-round 591, four strokes ahead of the University of Washington and eight up on the University of Oregon. Washington’s Karinn Dickinson won medallist honors with a level par score 142 and Stanford’s Angela King was a stroke back in second with a 143.
Chattanooga will return home to prepare for the upcoming Southern Conference Tournament that will take place at the Links at Stono Ferry in Charleston, S.C., April 20-22.
