STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. --- The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's golf team finished tied for third at the John Kirk/Panther Intercollegiate at Eagle's Landing Country Club in suburban Atlanta.  Chattanooga shot a final round 312 tying Augusta State at 934.

Host Georgia State captured the title as its final round 304 completed the Panthers' 54 holes at 905.  Arkansas-Little Rock ended up second at 919.

GSU's Cathrine Madsen, the second round leader, won medalist honors carding a 221, five-over par.  Mitsuki Katahira of Daytona State was second at 224 (+8) followed by her teammate Jennifer Gartin at 225 (+9).

The Mocs were led by junior Christine Wolf at 228 (+12).  Her final round 74 (+2) was tied for the third-best round of the day and is her lowest 18 of the Spring.

Two more Mocs joined Wolf in the top 15.  Sophomore Maria Juliana Loza and junior Emma de Groot shot twin rounds of 78 on the day to end up tied for 15th at 232 (+16) along with Wolf's sister Claudia who competes for South Alabama.

Loza and de Groot have finished in the top 15 of the last two events.  de Groot has not finished outside of the 20 since the opening event of the season in September (Hooters Collegiate Match Play), which was just a 36-hole medal event to qualify teams for the match play round.

Sophomore Moa Duf shot an 82 for her final 18 today to wind up tied for 40th at 242.  Senior Katie Taylor rounded out the Mocs' lineup in 66th shooting 257.

Chattanooga swings back into action this weekend at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational in Austin, Texas.  The three-day event starts Friday, March 26, and wraps up on Sunday, March 28.
