GREENVILLE, N.C. --- The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's golf team ended its postseason run finishing 18th at the NCAA East Regional at Ironwood Country Club.  Chattanooga shot 316 over its final 18 holes on a blustery Saturday afternoon to shoot 910 for 54 holes.

Despite the disappointing ending, it was an impressive run for the short-handed Mocs.

"Playing with four was difficult," said head coach Colette Murray.  "But we competed, there were no excuses.  I thought we had a chance today if we could post a score.  It just wasn't our day, but I am very proud of our effort all week."

Junior Emma de Groot led the Mocs with a two-over par 74.  She completed the tourney tied for 30th at 220.  She did not finish outside the top 30 in any event this season.

Junior Christine Wolf had a struggle of it with an 81 (+9) today.  After opening with rounds of 72 (E) and 70 (-2), her total of 223 placed her tied for 47th

Sophomore Maria Juliana Loza carded a 76 (+4) to end up tied for 65th at 227.  Senior Katie Taylor finished 110th with a total of 240.

The season is over, but it was a memorable one.  Chattanooga captured its first Southern Conference Championship and advanced to its third regional, second as a team, in just the third year of the program.
