Wolf earns match play at United States Women's Amateur Public Links
May 2011 graduate Christine Wolf (Igls, Austria) not only qualified for match play at the United States Women's Amateur Public Links, she did so in impressive fashion. She shot five-over par 147 with rounds of 74 and 73 to finish tied for third in stroke play.

Britt reaches semifinals at Tennessee Women's Amateur
Rising sophomore Jordan Britt (Chattanooga, Tenn.) posted her second strong showing of the summer reaching the semifinals of the Tennessee Women's Amateur. Britt was one of two players, champion Kendall Martindale was the other, to shoot par or better in stroke play qualifying with an even-par 72, two shots behind Martindale's 70.
She won her first match decisively 6&4 over Linda Mullins of Cleveland. She continued her dominant play with a 6&5 win over MTSU signee Haley Cothran. Britt topped current MTSU golfer Olivia Love from Columbia 2&1 setting up her semifinal showdown with Martindale which the two-time champ won 3&2 ending Britt's run. Martindale, a Vanderbilt signee, won the final 6&4 over Courtney Shelton.
de Groot represents Australia at Astor Trophy
Departing senior Emma de Groot (Coffs Harbour, New South Wales, Australia) helped lead Australia in its fourth-place finish at the Astor Trophy earlier in the month. The event was held at Fairhaven Golf Club in Lytham, England. de Groot was 2-1-1 in her singles matches and 1-1-1 in foursomes. The competition included two rounds of foursome play and five singles each day and featured five-person teams from Australia, Great Britain and Ireland, Canada, New Zealand and South Africa.
Wolf is headed to the United States Women's Open
Wolf is headlining the summer for the Mocs. She heads from Oregon to Colorado Springs, Colo., for the U.S. Women's Open next week, July 7-10, at the Broadmoor (East Course). She qualified for the event at Deerwood Country Club (Jacksonville, Fla.) in May. The qualification also earned exemptions in the Pub Links and August's United States Women's Amateur at Rhode Island C.C. Wolf will have a familiar face on her bag as head coach Colette Murray is traveling to Colorado to serve as caddy.
de Groot and Britt will attempt to qualify for the U.S. Women's Am on Tuesday, July 19, in suburban Atlanta, Ga. Qualifying is at Ansley Golf Club on the Settindown Creek Course in Roswell.
Britt is slated to play July 21-23 at the Tennessee Women's State Open at Stonehenge Golf Club at Fairfield Glade in Crossville.
