MELBOURNE, Fla. --- The Chattanooga Mocs are fourth after 36 holes Monday at the Knights & Pirates Invite at Suntree Country Club. UTC shot twin rounds of 298 for a total of 596, five shots behind third-place Wisconsin.
Marion Duvernay (Publier, France) led the Mocs. After a 76 in round one, Duvernay carded four birdies on second 18 for a two-under par 70 which ties for the season-low with herself and Jordan Britt (Chattanooga, Tenn.). She is tied for seventh at plus two, 146.
Maria Juliana Loza (Bucaramanga, Colombia) had her best round of the season on the initial 18 with a level-par 72. Loza is tied for 11th at 148 with a 76 in the afternoon.
Britt and Mette Kryger (Nivaa, Denmark) are tied for 25th at 151. Britt turned in scores of 76 and 75, while Kryger shot 74 and 77. Sophie Weilguni (Langenlois, Austria) rounded out the team scoring at 162.
Texas Tech leads at five-over par 581. The Red Raiders opened with a one-under par 287 in the morning. UCF is second at 585 followed by Wisconsin (591) and Chattanooga (596).
TTU's Deborah DeVilla shot 69 and 70 for a five-under par total 139. She leads UCF's Carolin Pinegger in second at 142 and Katie Mitchell in third at 143.
The Mocs are back on the course at 8:30 a.m., for a shotgun start. Playing with Michigan and Purdue, the trio starts on holes 4-6. Live scoring of the round can be found on the GoMocs.com women's golf schedule page.
