Mocs Head to Georgia for Individual Event

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.---The Chattanooga Mocs women’s golf team gets its first tournament play of 2014 tomorrow at the Lady Bulldog Individual Tournament. This is the second year the Mocs have played in the event played at the par 72, 6,335-yard University of Georgia Golf Course.

All seven student-athletes tee it up for 36 holes, weather permitting. It offers a first look at mid-season enrollees DeeDee Russell (Gold Coast, Australia) and Sarah Dolmovich (Signal Mountain, Tenn.).

Russell and Dolmovich join Jordan Britt (Chattanooga, Tenn.), Emily McLennan (Queensland, Australia), Agathe Sauzon (Publier, France), Isabella Loza (Bucaramanga, Colombia) and Porsche Campbell (Vancouver, Canada). Britt leads the squad with a 74.14 scoring average followed by McLennan at 74.93.

The event starts with a shotgun start at 8:45 a.m. There are 54 players in the field representing Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Georgia Regents, Louisville, Mercer, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and host Georgia.

Chattanooga opens the spring schedule a week later, February 17-18, at the Central District Invitational.
