Miller Named to FCS ADA Academic All-Star Team
University of Tennessee at Chattanooga senior Adam Miller was named one of 54 members of the 15th Annual Football Championship Subdivision Athletics Directors Association (FCS ADA) Academic All Star Team presented by KB Sports this week.

"The FCS ADA is pleased to honor the accomplishments of our football student-athletes each year with our Academic All-Star Team," said FCS ADA President Ron Strollo, director of athletics at Youngstown State University. "The accolades of these young men both in the classroom and on the field epitomize the definition of student-athlete and our Association looks forward to recognizing their accomplishments annually."

Football players from all FCS institutions are eligible for this prestigious honor. Each of the nominees were required to have a minimum grade point average of 3.20 (on a 4.00 scale) in undergraduate study and be a starter or key player with legitimate athletics credentials. Individuals must have reached their second year of athletics and academic standing at the nominated institution and completed a minimum of one full academic year at the nominated institution.

A native of Cohutta, Ga., Miller has a 3.78 g.p.a. as a Construction Management major.  He is now a two-time member of the FCS ADA Academic All-Star Team, having also won the honor last season.

Miller was named Second Team All-Southern Conference by the league's media following the 2012 season.  He started 40 games for the Mocs at right tackle, including the last 29 of his career.

Chattanooga has had four members on the FCS ADA Academic All-Star Team since it began in 1998 and Miller is one of two Mocs to earn back-to-back recognition.  The past Mocs on the team include Brian Hampton (1998), Steven Smigelsky (2009) and Joel Bradford (2010 & 2011).
