The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Athletics Department is holding its annual "30 Minutes or Less" promotion for football season tickets on Tuesday, August 20.
Head Coach Russ Huesman, along with members of the Mocs football team, Spirit Squad and athletics staff will deliver season tickets within 30 minutes of purchase or the order is free. Delivery area includes a five-mile radius of McKenzie Arena that encompasses the UTC Campus and Chattanooga's downtown, North Shore and Southside areas.
Season tickets start at $40 for youth, alumni, faculty & staff. The "30 Minutes or Less" promotion is one of the most popular of the year for football season tickets. The goal is to break the single-day sales record of 106 season tickets sold set during the 2010 “30 Minutes or Less” campaign.
UTC is approaching the 2,500 mark for season tickets sold for the fifth year in a row. Chattanooga started the trend in 2009 with Huesman's arrival, selling 2,527 that season. UTC upped that mark to 2,676 in 2010 and set the current record for season ticket sales at 2,761 in 2011. Last year, there were 2,506 sold. As of Monday morning, a total of 2,170 season tickets were purchased for the 2013 campaign.
Only SEASON TICKET orders made over the phone are eligible for this promotion. Call the UTC Ticket Office at (423) 266-MOCS (6627) to take part in the "30 Minutes or Less" special. Orders must also be made between 10:00 a.m. (E.D.T.) and 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Chattanooga opens the season on Thursday, Aug. 29, against UT Martin. Kickoff against the Skyhawks is set for 7:30 p.m. at Finley Stadium. It is the first of a six-game home schedule for the Mocs in 2013. UTC also hosts Austin Peay (Sept. 14), Western Carlina (Oct. 5), Furman for Homecoming (Oct. 12), The Citadel (Oct. 26) and No. 5 Wofford (Nov. 9).
