Chattanooga Mocs Football - Postgame Quotes

Chattanooga at Jacksonville State
Burgess-Snow Field – Jacksonville, Ala.
Saturday - Sept. 8, 2012

Controversial Ending:
"That didn’t beat us. There was probably a second left on the clock. That’s what happens when you come play somewhere else. We didn’t play well enough to win the game. That one second…who cares? There was probably a second left.”

Did the fumble return for touchdown turn the momentum early:
"It happened awful early, I don’t think if anybody had any momentum going at that time. Obviously you can’t fumble and let them score. That’s a killer right there. We have the ball in their territory and they take it back 75 yards for a touchdown. That kills you.”

On the offense during the game-tying drive:
"Offense did a great job. We had some guys make some clutch plays. Ron Moore, our offensive line protected…some clutch plays down there to get it in. And that was important to see. That was huge for us to come back and do that. Then we don’t do a very good job on kick coverage. The ball is squibbing around down there, he picks up and then there is a crease in there. It’s ridiculous. Should never happen.“

How deflating a loss was it:
“It hurts. I hope they’re hurting in there because I am flat out dying. We were 0-2 two years ago. We can come back and win. We have to come back tomorrow and work to get ready for Glenville State and get a win.”
