Brickyard Collegiate Classic - Oct. 5, 2012 - Macon, Ga.
First Round

 - Chattanooga played with Virginia Tech and Augusta State...tied the Hokies and beat the Jaguars by four...teams started on No. 1...5th appearance in the six years of the Brickyard's existence.
 - 291 is the best first round by UTC in 2012-13...2nd best mark to a two-under 286 at the Carpet Capital (2nd round - 9/8).
 - 291 ties the best start to a Brickyard Collegiate for the Mocs...also shot 291 in 2009 when the squad tied for second.
 - 6 teams in this year's field reached the 2012 NCAA Championship (Georgia, Georgia Tech, North 
Florida, Oklahoma & Virginia Tech)...2-time National Champion Augusta State leads a group of four more (Colorado State, Mercer Ind., USF Ind.) that competed in regionals.
 - Chattanooga is without the services of U.S. Amateur Champion Steven Fox this weekend...he is in Antalya, Turkey for the 2012 World Team Amateur...Fox is joined on the U.S. team by Chris Williams (Washington) and Justin Thomas (Alabama)...the event is October 4-7 at Antalya (PGA Sultan Course) and Cornelia Golf Clubs.
 - Front Nine (Counters by Round): E (E/-/-)...Davis Bunn and Michael Monroe shot -2 on the front side...Monroe was flawless with two birdies and seven pars...Bunn recorded four of his team-high five birdies on his first nine holes.
 - Back Nine: +3 (+3/-/-)...Liam Johnston shot -3 on holes 10-18...Johnston made the turn at +5 and fired three birdies and six pars on the back nine.
 - Benni Weilguni recorded the Mocs' first eagle of 2012 in the par five ninth.
 - Chris Robb started out at two under for the second straight's 70 is his 20th career par or better round, team-best 3rd of the season...four birdies on his card with 12 pars...5th consecutive round with 12 pars...3rd sub-par round of the year.
 - Bunn's five birdies today is his best since tallying five in the final round of the 2011 Rees Jones Invite (10/4/11)...ties career high with second round of 2009 Brickyard Collegiate and 2009 Mason Rudolph scoring average at the Brickyard is now 72.8.
