Three former University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football student-athletes are wrapping up NFL Organized Team Activities and minicamps this week. B.J. Coleman (Green Bay Packers), Chris Lewis-Harris (Cincinnati Bengals) and Buster Skrine (Cleveland Browns) are all working towards a successful 2013 campaign.
Skrine (’10) is the veteran of the group, having played in 32 games with six starts over the last two seasons as a defensive back for the Browns. The Browns actually finished their on-field activities last week, and Skrine was considered “The Surprise of the Browns Offseason Practices” in one article on ESPNCleveland.com.
Coleman (’11) has received the most pub recently, garnering praise from a number of outlets covering the Packers. He is vying for the back-up quarterback position after spending his rookie season on the practice squad. Here are some of the recent articles on Coleman’s progression in the final week of OTA’s in Green Bay.
Lewis-Harris (’11) signed with the Bengals as a free agent just before the start of training camp. He spent most of the season on the practice squad, but earned his way on to the active roster later in the year. He saw action in two regular season games and the wildcard playoff contest against the Texans. Here is a shot of him on defense at a recent workout.
