The Mocs leave the Scenic City for the first time in four games heading to Spartanburg, S.C., to take on Wofford. Game time is 7 p.m., Saturday.

MR. 1,000
"Voice of the Mocs" Jim Reynolds is coming up on his 1,000th Chattanooga basketball game. His first was November 29, 1980, an 82-53 win over Maryville. UTC won its first of 18 regular-season titles that season. A coincidence? We think not. The school has won more than 600 games since Reynolds took over as "Voice of the Mocs" in 1980. He's in his 33rd season and will be celebrated at the February 21st game vs. UNCG.

- McGhee's 140 FTA leads the SoCon.

- White is six FTM shy of 100 on the season. He would become the 28th Moc in the DI era to eclipse 100 FTM in a season. The last was Nicchaeus Doaks (2006-09) with 139 in 2008-09. He would be the 12th guard.

MURRAY ARNOLD
The Chattanooga Mocs lost a legend on Nov. 14, 2012 as former Head Coach Murray Arnold passed away in Florida. He laid the DI championship foundation coaching for six years, 1980-85, with a 135-46 record. He coached collegiately at four institutions (Birmingham Southern, Western Kentucky and Stetson) amassing a 420-229 mark in 22 seasons. The Mocs captured four SoCon Championships in six UTC campaigns advancing to three NCAA Tournaments and two NITs reaching the Elite 8 (NIT) in 1985 and narrowly missing the NCAA Sweet 16 in 1982.
