- Chattanooga stayed in first place in the Southern Conference race with a dominating 68-46 win over Wwstern Carolina tonight. UTC has won 17 straight and are 13-0 in SoCon action, 21-3 overall.  The Catamounts drop to 11-13 and 5-8 in league play.  Davidson is second in the league with a 9-4 tally, 12-12 overall. 

- The win was UTC's eighth straight after falling in overtime in Feb. 2010. 65-11 all-time.  29-5 in Chattanooga. 

- 1,746 fans attended tonight's game.

- The Mocs have won 29-straight SoCon games…last loss was a 70-60 overtime defeat at Elon on Jan. 7, 2013.

- Head coach Jim Foster won his 804th game today…11th women’s coach in the NCAA to reach that mark.  His 36-year mark stands at 804-310.  The 2013 Hall of Fame inductee is the only coach in NCAA Division I history - men or women - to lead three different teams to at least 200 wins (St. Joseph’s: 248, Vanderbilt: 256, Ohio State: 279). This marked his 27th season with 20 or more wins, tied for seventh most in Division I.

- The Mocs have won seven-straight SoCon games by 10+ points…longest such run since the 2008-09 season when they won seven in a row by double-digits in league play.

- UTC held the Catamounts to just five points, taking a 19-5 lead on a layup by Ka'Vonne Towns with 4:35 to play in the first. WCU outscored UTC 12-9 over the final 4:17 to cut the lead to 28-17 at halftime.

- UTC led 28-17 at the half…third time in SoCon play the Mocs have held an opponent to less than 20 points in the first 20 minutes 

- WCU's bench scored 31 of its 46 points...The Catamounts were 14-of-51 from the field...8 were from beyond the 3-point line...only 6 were made inside the arc.

- UTC outscored Western Carolina 42-10 in the paint...the Mocs scored 29 points off 19 WCU turnovers while the Catamounts scored just 7 off 12 UTC miscues...Chattanooga had 14 fastbreak points while WCU had none.
