CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's soccer team will take on The Citadel and the College of Charleston in a pair of Southern Conference matches this weekend in Charleston, S.C. UTC will face the Bulldogs (6-3-1, 2-0-0) Friday at 4 p.m. and then take on the Cougars ( 5-5-0, 2-0-0) Sunday.

Last year, the Lady Mocs dropped a 1-0 decision for its first ever loss to the Bulldogs. This season, The Citadel is looking even stronger with a program-best 6-3-1 overall record and and remain undefeated in conference play with wins against Western Carolina and Appalachian State. Both victories mark the first time in program history that the Citadel has beaten either team.

Junior Amy Loughran and freshman Mariana Garcia continue to pace the Cadets offensively as both players each have five goals for the season. Garcia narrowly leads the duo with 26 shots, 18 on goal and one assist, while Loughran has 25 shots, 16 on goal and one assist. Junior Laura Serafino leads the trio of Bulldog goalkeepers with 804:17 minutes of play, 50 saves and a 1.45 goals against average.

The Cougars (5-5-0, 2-0-0 SoCon) were 2-1 on the road stint with a loss to No. 17 Georgia followed up by big conference wins over Appalachian State and Western Carolina.

Sarah Schaidle (Simpsonville, S.C.) scored three goals and notched the game winner in both matches to be named the SoCon Player of the Week on Tuesday. Schaidle leads the Cougars with five goals in the 2010 season. CofC sits atop the SoCon standings with UNC Greensboro and The Citadel as the only unbeaten, untied teams in conference play. The Cougars have been dominant in their all-time series with the Lady Mocs which dates back to 1996. CofC is 12-2-0 all-time against Chattanooga.

The Lady Mocs enter the weekend with a 3-7 overall record and are 1-1 in league competition.
