CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- October is Breast Cancer Awareness and the Chattanooga women's soccer team will do its part Sunday, Oct. 10 when they host Wofford College at Finley Stadium.

Arrive early to get one of 100 pink T-shirts will be given out at the game to fans along with 250 rally towels. During the week on campus, 500 pink wristbands will be given out leading up to the game.

Breast cancer can occur in both men and women and is the second most common cancer diagnosed in women in the United States behind skin cancer. According to the MayoClinic.com, public support for breast cancer awareness and research funding has helped improve the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. Survival rates have increased and the number of deaths has been declining thanks to early detection, new treatments and better understanding of the disease.

The game begins at 2 p.m. at Finley Stadium. The South Gate will open at 1 p.m. Admission is always free.
