CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's soccer head coach J.D. Kzyer announces the addition of two more to the 2012 signing class.
Logan Higgins comes to Chattanooga from Assumption High School in Louisville, Ky.
"Logan has a ‘never give up' mentality," Kyzer said. "She is tenacious to say the least and is one of the hardest working players I've ever seen."
Higgins, an all-district player, has seen action at defense, midfield and forward for the Rockets and helped lead her team to the District 7 title and a Region 13 Runner-Up finish.
"You know when the game is over that she's given you everything she's got."
Also signing with the Mocs is Clare Latham from Briarcrest Christian School in Cordova, Tenn. She was named the 2008 Briarcrest Rookie of the Year and has earned spots on the all-state, all-region and all-district teams. She was named to the Memphis Commercial Appeal Best of Preps team this season playing center mid and defender. She helped lead her team to the state finals and three region championship games.
"She's an excellent ball handler," Kyzer said. "She sees things on the field that others don't and she has an extremely high work rate. She's like a sponge. She absorbs anything she's told and incorporates that into her game."
The two join Hannah Wyatt of Soddy Daisy High School and Lauren Thomas of Germantown High School who signed last week.
