CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's soccer team went back to elementary school Tuesday morning as part of its annual "Reading Day at OLPH".

"This is a great opportunity for our student-athletes to interact with the community," UTC Head Coach J.D. Kyzer said. "We do two or three clinics each year and help out with the FCA 5K race at Chattanooga state. This is just one more way that we can do our part."

Fifteen members of the Mocs soccer team along with Kyzer and assistant coach Sam Stroud arrived at the start of the school day and were greeted by the principal Jeri McInturff. Physical Education teacher Todd Close assisted Kyzer with the organization of the event. The players read to students in the third grade along with kindergarten and Pre-K classes.

This is the fourth year the team has read to the students at OLPH.
