CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- Each year, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women’s soccer team participates in a variety of community service projects. Saturday at the Redoubt Fields off Bonny Oaks Drive, the Mocs hosted a clinic for the TOPSoccer program.
TOPSoccer, short for “The Outreach Program for Soccer”, is a community-based training and team placement program for young athletes with disabilities, organized by youth soccer association volunteers.
Each year, during the soccer season, the Mocs take the morning off tradition training to get involved with this program. This year, the Mocs hosted about 30 athletes in varying ages. The participants went from station to station learning soccer skills and then put those skills to the test later in a scrimmage against the Mocs.
