- Chattanooga wins 72-63 at Furman in an afternoon tilt in Greenville, S.C…the Mocs are 7-8, 1-0 in the SoCon, while the Paladins are 6-8, 0-1 in the league…have now won three in a row.

- This is the 74th meeting between the two schools with the first game coming during the 1921-22 season…Chattanooga leads it 49-25…it trails in games played at Furman 17--18…it’s 43-22 in regular season conference matchups.

- It was the SoCon opener for both squads…4th time the Mocs have opened with the Paladins (3-1)…the program is now 20-17 in league starters, 7-11 when beginning league slate on the road.

- Chattanooga held a 30-29 lead at the half…6-1 now when ahead at the break.

- The Mocs had nine blocks today…7 came in first half…6th time with five or more this season…led by Z. Mason’s career-high six.

- Chattanooga had a 6:42 drought without a field goal from 4:34 of the first half, a Ronrico White layup, to 17:52 of the second, a layup from Mason…led 30-27 at start of drought and was up 34-32 on Mason’s bucket.

- The Mocs had a season-high 23 offensive rebounds…led to 17-8 advantage in second chance points…beat the Paladins 46-37 on the glass…7-1 when out-rebounding opponent.

- Second win in the last three games when not shooting the ball well…shot 38.2 percent from the field (26-68), 28.6 percent from 3pt range (6-21)…Furman hit 43.9 percent from the field (25-57), 21.4 percent (3-14) from beyond the arc.

- There were six lead changes, all in the first 10:53 minutes of the game…Mocs never trailed after Casey Jones hit a jumper to make it 20-19 at the 9:07 mark.
