MOCS WOMEN’S GOLF NOTEBOOK
Kiawah Island Classic | March 2-4, 2014
Chattanooga doubled its birdie total in today’s final 18 to 24. The ladies entered with 12 over the first two rounds and then posted a season-high-tying 12 to end the event. The 24 total birds ranks as third-best for the Mocs this season.
MCLENNAN MATCHES BEST FINISH
For the second time in her career, Emily McLennan finished tied for fourth. It matches her ending at the 2012 Lady Paladin Invitational. It’s her fourth top five and sixth top 10 in 20 events.
Today’s 300 doesn’t find itself among the best rounds of the season by the number, but it was the second-best round of the day behind Kent State’s 298. It also tied for the 10th-lowest 18 among the 108 total team cards turned in over the 54 holes.
BRITT SOARS WITH THE EAGLES
Jordan Britt added to her school record eagle total this week. Make that plural records. Britt now has four on the season after posting one in round two. That’s six for her career. She holds Chattanooga records for eagles in a season and career. Behind the eagle, she was a team-best -3 on par 5’s for the three days.
PAR 3 SCORING
The Mocs shot a season-best +3 on the par 3’s this week. Agathe Sauzon led the way at -2 followed closely by McLennan at level par.
