Brigette Del Ponte enters her first season with Chattanooga after capping off a tremendous college career with the University of Arizona. Del Ponte is currently a member of the Akron Racers of the National Pro Fastpitch softball league. Brigette works mainly with Chattanooga’s outfielders and catchers.
Along with numerous awards and recognition for her play, the infielder smashed 60 homeruns and drove in 229 runs over her four-year career with the Wildcats. Her 21 homeruns and 80 RBI in 2010 is an Arizona freshman record.
The infielder led Arizona a runner-up title in the 2010 Women’s College World Series while also collecting three trips to the NCAA Super Regionals and four to the NCAA Regionals in her career. In her four seasons at Arizona, the ‘Cats were166-77 overall.
She is the daughter of Michael and Elena Del Ponte and has two older brothers, Michael and Chris, and a younger sister, Natalie.
