CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.-The Chattanooga Mocs softball team hosts its annual RBI Club Breakfast with the Mocs fundraiser Saturday, Jan. 25, from 7:30-9:30 a.m. at the Applebee's at Northgate Mall in Hixson. Tickets can be purchased for $6 at the door and proceeds from the event from the event benefit the Chattanooga softball team.
The coaching staff and student-athletes will serve breakfast to supporters of the program, providing an opportunity to converse and interact with the team. Posters and 2014 schedules will also be distributed to fans in attendance.
"Breakfast with the Mocs has always been a great fundraiser, but that's not the only reason we have it," Head Coach Frank Reed said. "It's an opportunity for fans to have breakfast and interact with the players, but it's also a great time for the student-athletes to meet their fans face-to-face and see who cheers them on weekend after weekend."
The Applebee's at Northgate address is listed below. For more information about the Mocs RBI Club and tickets to the pancake breakfast, contact Mocs Club member Mike Burke (423-315-2046).
Fans will have a second chance to meet their favorite student-athletes Jan. 30 before the team hits the road at the annual "Meet the Mocs" event at the Chattanooga Indoor Hitting Facility. The event will begin at 7 p.m. with players finishing up practice. An introduction by Reed and a meet-and-greet autograph session, along with other activities, will follow.
