Chattanooga Basketball Postgame Quotes
Reinhardt at Chattanooga

Thoughts on the energy in today's game
"What I wanted to get out of this game was very simple. I wanted a win. Our energy was good, and defensively we were pretty good. Reinhardt makes you make plays. They're pressing and trapping, and we're not used to that. We're not used to having to make the plays that we made. We weren't really sharp, and it's hard to be sharp at noon as the guys know what's on the back end of the game. They know they get to go home.
Thoughts on today's shooting
"We shot some layups. I think that counts when you shoot layups. I didn't know if we were capable of scoring 108 points. We shot the ball, we made, for the most part, simple plays. We've got to do a better job of making plays. Our defense wasn't very sharp in the second half."
Thoughts on being tied early, then pushing ahead
"I think Farad gave us a spark and I thought Marty gave us a spark. We're not used to making plays, they kind of look at me too much, so it was kind of nice for them to just make some basketball plays. I think Alex Bran gave us a spark. He just has to do a better job of handling the ball. He can't turn the ball over five times as a point guard. What we need to do right now is take a breath to see our families, love our families and have a great Christmas. I don't want them thinking about basketball right now. We've run them through the gauntlet and we're asking them to do a lot. I thought Reinhardt's point guard did a nice job and I thought he was tough. He had five assists and two turnovers. He wasn't a kid, though, he was a grown man. I asked him how old he was and he said "twenty-four." We're out there playing with 18 year-olds. We don't have grown men at this moment, we're playing with little kids and these little kids are going to get older one day, but that was interesting to me."
Thoughts on Martynas Bareika's play
"I made a comment the other day that if you have talent, you can be a good player and he's pretty competitive. Twenty years ago everybody played hard. I don't know what happened in the world, but no one plays hard anymore. Very few people are competitive, but he is. If you're competitive you can be a pretty good player, and that's what he is. He's turned out to be a pretty good player for us."
Gee McGhee, freshman, guard
On going back home
"I'm going to love it. I'll sleep the whole way, because it's eight hours away."
Feelings after today's win
"It feels good because I hate coming in after the tough ones, but we had a great game today. Everybody played together and we had great defense."
On the mindset going into today's game
"We just came out confident this game. We watched more film on them and knew what they were capable of. We knew exactly what they were going to do. We just played our game and didn't stress it. We went out and had fun."
Martynas Bareika, sophomore, guard
Feelings after today's win
"We needed it before the break to lift us up a little bit more."
Thoughts on getting everybody involved
Marty- "We came up in the first five, six minutes, then we kind of kept a distance and didn't really let them come back and we just tried to play hard. Coach said don't let them come back and let's have a good second half. We played hard, everybody contributed."
Thoughts on his 20 points
"I didn't realize I had 20 points until our manager said something to me. I'll take that every day."
Thoughts on winning before the Christmas break
"It doesn't matter who we play, it's the same game. It's the same win, or the same loss. It doesn't matter if it's Christmas or not, you still have to go out there and play as hard as you can."
