Fuzzard Named Player of the Week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. --- Chattanooga first baseman Michelle Fuzzard earned Player of the Week honors as announced by the Southern Conference on Monday.
Fuzzard was instrumental to the UTC offense this past week against the College of Charleston, hitting .667 (6-of-9) with a home run and six runs batted in.
In the team’s lone win against the Cougars, Fuzzard went 3-for-4 with three RBIs as the Lady Mocs (26-22/15-5 SoCon) beat CofC 7-4.
This season the sophomore is second on the team with a .361 batting average. The Huntington Beach, Calif. native is also second on the team with six home runs and leads UTC with 36 runs batted in.
Fuzzard and the Lady Mocs will look to win their 10th Southern Conference Tournament beginning Wednesday, May 6. The team will play the winner of the play-in game between Western Carolina and Elon at 7 p.m. from Jim Frost Stadium.
