CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- In anticipation of its placement into the 2009 NCAA Tournament, the freshly minted Southern Conference Tournament Champion Chattanooga softball team will host a selection show party Sunday night.

The festivities will be held at Buffalo Wild Wings, which is located at 504 Broad Street in Downtown Chattanooga. The party will begin at 9 p.m. and the selection show will begin at 10 p.m. on ESPNU. All fans are invited to attend.

On Saturday the Lady Mocs punched their ticket to the program’s seventh NCAA Tournament after defeating Georgia Southern 7-2 in the Southern Conference Tournament Championship Game. The win capped off a sweep of the tournament as UTC went 4-0 in the nine-team event.

Sunday night the NCAA will announce the sites and pairings for 16, four-team regionals. Competition will begin on Friday, May 15. Last season the Lady Mocs were sent to Tuscaloosa, Ala. to play then No. 3 ranked Alabama.
