The Lady Mocs will face Texas on Friday, May 15 at 4:30 p.m. ET. This will be the second time in program history UTC has faced off the Longhorns. UTC is led by All-Southern Conference performers Tiffany Baker and Michelle Fuzzard at the plate. The two are hitting .368 and .350 respectively with 19 homeruns combined. In the circle, Kandice Irwin leads the team with 10 wins, while Brooke Loudermilk has a team-leading 2.01 ERA.

Head coach Frank Reed is making his fifth appearance in the NCAA Tournament in eight seasons as the head coach of the Lady Mocs.  He won his second straight, and third overall, SoCon Coach of the Year award following the 2009 season.

This season the Longhorns are 38-18 and come out of the Big XII Conference. Leading Texas is Courtney Craig with a .420 batting average and Loryn Johnson and her 49 runs batted in. In the circle Brittany Barnhill gets the majority of the team’s starts. This season she has compiled a 24-13 record.
