2012-13 (PRIOR TO REGIONAL PLAY) Started in all 10 tourneys…led the team finishing tied for 11th at Carpet Capital Collegiate…shot 70-70-74 for two-under par total of 214 which was career-low 54-hole total…career-best 69 (-3) to open Bayou City Collegiate…team-high five eagles…67 birdies with a high of six to open season at Carpet Capital Collegiate where he totaled 12 for the event…336 pars with 15 in the opening round of Bridgestone Golf Collegiate as his best for 18…four or more birdies five times, 12 or more pars 14…seven par or better rounds, one in the 60’s…counted in 25 of 30 rounds played…74.53 stroke average.
2011-12 Played in 10 of 13 events averaging 75.00 strokes per round…best finish was tied for 10th at SoCon Championship…his 220 there was his low 54-hole total…70 (-2) in final round of Seahawk Intercollegiate was his low 18…four par or better rounds total…three eagles, 55 birdies and 293 pars playing par or better on 72.2 percent of his holes…high of five birdies (Seahawk final round & opening round of NCAA Championship) and 14 pars (three times including NCAA Bowling Green Regional) in a round…nine birdies was his best tourney total (AutoTrader.com Collegiate Classic) as was 37 pars (twice)…counted in 21 of 27 rounds…Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.
SCOTLAND One of the top juniors to come out of Scotland in 2011…second-place finish on the Scottish Boys Order of Merit in 2010 and 2011…runner-up at the 2011 Scottish Boys Match Play and the 2011 Scottish Boys Stroke Play…represented Scotland on the 2010 and 2011 Home International team as well as the 2010 European Boys squad…qualified for match play at 2011 Scottish Amateur (3rd round) and 2011 British Boys…his impressive 2010 included a win at SGU Junior Tour Event 5 shooting six under for 36 holes, round of 16 finish at Scottish Boys Match Play, tie for fifth at Scottish Youths Championship and tie for 11th at Scottish Boys Stroke Play…served as captain for 2010 Scottish School Boys match against England and for the South of Scotland Boys win over the North of England team… Johnston won the South of Scotland Boys stroke play and match play in 2009 along with the stroke play in 2008.
