Jaeger Embarks on Pro Career
All-American Stephan Jaeger (Munich, Germany) completed his Chattanooga career as the most decorated men's golfer in school history. He ends his amateur career ranked No. 14 in the R&A World Amateur Rankings.

His first professional event is the NGA Tour Classic at Achasta this weekend. The NGA Hooters Tour event begins Thursday, July 19, and runs through Sunday, July 22, at Achasta Golf Club in Dahlonega, Ga. He'll have plenty of familiar faces there with former Mocs teammates Jonathan Hodge (2006-09) and Derek Rende (2007-10) in the field.

The following week he heads to Columbus, Ohio for the Nationwide Children's Hospital Invitational on the Scarlet Course at Ohio State University Golf Club. The Web.com Tour tourney is July 26-29 and was won by Chattanooga native Harris English, and former Jaeger teammate at the Baylor School, last year.

Bunn/Fox at Southern Am
Rising senior Steven Fox (Hendersonville, Tenn.) and upcoming junior Davis Bunn (Knoxville, Tenn.) are playing the 106th Southern Amateur starting today. The scoring link is here. It is being played at Chenal Country Club in Little Rock, Ark. The Southern Am is a 72-hole event. The best recent finish by a Mocs golfer was Hodge tying for 14th in 2007 at the Country Club of North Carolina shooting six-under par 282. The champion that year was 2012 U.S. Open winner Webb Simpson, while Hodge tied this year's first round leader at the Open, Michael Thompson.

Fox Makes Round of 16 at U.S. Amateur Public Links
Here is a recap of the links from Fox and Kory Webb's (Knoxville, Tenn.) play at the Unites States Amateur Public Links Championship at Soldier Hollow Golf Course in Midway, Utah. Fox made it to the round of 16 after qualifying for match play, while Webb, an incoming freshman, missed the top 64 by two shots.

Busy Scottish Golf Season for a Trio of Mocs
Liam Johnston (Dumfries, Scotland), Chris Robb (Aberdeenshire, Scotland) and Benni Weilguni (Langenlois, Austria) have had a busy few weeks playing amateur events in Scotland. After Johnston's epic win in the Tennant Cup, the trio played in a few more events with decent finishes.

Robb had the best result tying for eighth at The Cameron Corbett Vase. He shot four-under par 140 in the 36-hole event at Haggs Castle Golf Club in Glasgow.

All three UTC student-athletes played in the East of Scotland Am at Lundin Links Golf Club in Fife. Johnston bested his teammates tying for 13th opening with a 65 en route to a 72-hole total of 284 (E). Weilguni tied for 17th a shot back at 285 (+1), while Robb was 21st at 286 (+2)

Johnston also competed for the Sutherland Chalice played at his home Dumfries and Galloway. He just missed a top 10 tying for 11th shooting 283 with a consistent line of 69, 72, 72 and 70.

Rickett Weds Fellow Mocs Alum Shelley Taylor
Congratulations to former Mocs Ben Rickett (2006-09) and Shelley Taylor (2007-10) on their wedding. The two exchanged vows at the Gordon-Lee Mansion in Chickamauga, Ga. Ricket was an all-conference and all-region performer on the golf team, while Taylor ran cross country and track and was a six-time all-conference honoree in cross country, indoor track and field and outdoor track and field.
