The Chattanooga Mocs finished second in this week's Southern Conference Men's Golf Championship by a single stroke to Georgia Southern. The Mocs (5) and Eagles (2) have won seven of the last eight SoCon crowns.
Senior Chris Robb (Aberdeenshire, Scotland) was phenomenal. He ended up second (-8), two shots behind 13th-ranked J.T. Posten (Western Carolina). Robb played bogey-free over his final 38 holes and became the first golfer since Chris Wisler (ETSU) in 2001 to shoot 65 or better in the event closing with the seven-under total on Tuesday.
Robb and Liam Johnston (Dumfries, Scotland) earned All-Southern Conference honors for their 2013-14 seasons. Ewan Scott (St. Andrews, Scotland) and Wes Gosselin (Knoxville, Tenn.) made the All-Freshman squad.
The Mocs find out their NCAA Regional fate on Monday, May 5, at 10 a.m., on the Golf Channel. In the meantime, please enjoy the photo gallery linked above.
