Loudermilk and Zhukova Tabbed SoCon Athletes of the Month for April

Brooke Loudermilk – Softball
Freshman Brooke Loudermilk was named Pitcher of the Month for April after she went 9-2, dropping games only to Western Carolina and No. 2 Alabama. The right-handed pitcher from Locust Grove, Ga., recorded two shutouts and posted a 1.92 ERA for the month. She threw 65.2 innings with 83 strikeouts.
During the month, Loudermilk moved up to No. 3 all-time on the single season strikeouts list finishing the month with 263 total strikeouts. She also was the only Lady Moc to receive national attention, breaking into the top 50 for Most Strikeouts per Seven Inning Game and Most Wins.
Loudermilk received her second Pitcher of the Week honor in the month of April for the week ending April 23.
Anastasia Zhukova – Women’s Tennis
Senior Anastasia Zhukova went undefeated in all singles and doubles matches in April. She posted eight 6-love sets, and was 8-0 at No. 1 singles and 8-0 No. 1 doubles. Zhukova was tabbed the SoCon Co-Player of the Year and earned a berth into the upcoming NCAA Tennis Championships.
The Moscow, Russia, native takes a 24-2 singles record into the NCAAs. She was ranked as high as No. 39 nationally during the month.
