Chattanooga Menís Golf in 7th Heading into Final Round
J.T. Clendenin's 70 was the Mocs' low round today.

FLORENCE, S.C. --- The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's golf team is in seventh place after 36 holes of the Southern Conference Championship at the Country Club of South Carolina.  Today's 294 gives Chattanooga a two-day total of 589 (+13).

Furman is the leader at 559 (-17).  UNC Greensboro trails the Paladins by 11 shots in second at 570 (-6), while Georgia Southern is third at 576 (E).

Senior J.T. Clendenin played near flawless golf leading the Mocs with a two-under par round of 70.  Clendenin carded three birdies and 14 pars with just one bogey on his round.  He is tied for 22nd at 146 (+2).

Derek Rende is the Mocs' leader through two rounds.  He is tied for 14th at one-over par 145 after a 74 today.  Following three straight birdies on holes nine, 10 and 11, Rende was one-under for the day before a bogey and double bogey on 16 and 17 closed his round at plus-two.

Fredrik Qvicker, Stephan Jaeger and Steven Fox each registered three-over par rounds of 75 this afternoon.  The 75s placed Qvicker tied for 26th (148), Fox tied for 34th (150) and Jaeger in 43rd (152) with 18 holes left to play.

Furman teammates Garland Ferrell and Austin Reeves are tied for first at 137, seven-under par.  Reeves had the day's low round with a 66 (-6).  UNCG's Ryan Heisey is third at 139 (-5) following his 67 (-5) today.

Chattanooga is slated to tee off at 8:50 a.m., for Tuesday's final round.  Jaeger will lead the Mocs off paired with Appalachian State and Wofford.
