BATON ROUGE, La.---Chattanooga junior golfer Stephan Jaeger (Munich, Germany) had a career-best day in taking the lead at the LSU National Invitational through 36 holes at the University Club.  Jaeger fired rounds of 70 (-2) and 67 (-5) to pace the field heading into Sunday's final round.

Jaeger's seven-under par 137 leads Alexander Sitompul of Michigan (141) by four.  LSU's John Peterson and Iowa's Vince India are tied for third at minus two (142).

His seven-under par 137 total is one shot better than his previous best of 138 (-6) for 36 holes.  Jaeger's posted 138 three times including at the Linger Longer Invitational earlier in the week.

As a team, the Mocs are in fourth at 595 trailing Michigan by eight shots at 587.  No. 12 Iowa is second at 588, while No. 9 LSU is third with a total of 589.

Freshman Chris Robb (Aberdeenshire, Scotland) bounced back from a 79 (+7) in the morning round to shoot 73 (+1) in the afternoon.  He is tied for 28th at 152 (+8).  Sophomore Steven Fox (Hendersonville, Tenn.) is just two shots behind him tied for 35th at 154 (+10).

The freshman duo of Davis Bunn (Knoxville, Tenn.) and Benni Weilguni (Langelois, Austria) are tied for 42nd at 156 (+12).  The Mocs are one of just three teams to place all five team members in the top 42.

Chattanooga is off hole No. 1 early at 8:10 a.m., central time.  Weilguni leads off followed by Bunn (8:20), Fox (8:30), Robb (8:40) and Jaeger (8:50).
