BATON ROUGE, La. --- The Chattanooga Mocs men's golf team is ninth with 18 holes to play at the LSU National Invitational. UTC has a total of 604 after 36 holes at the University Club Saturday.
Steven Fox (Hendersonville, Tenn) led the Mocs shooting four-over par 148. He is tied for 19th overall. The Scottish duo of Chris Robb (Aberdeenshire) and Liam Johnston (Dumfries) are next on the squad list tied at 152. Stephan Jaeger (Munich, Germany) shot 155, while Alex Ratliff (Kingsport, Tenn.) wound up at 163.
Iowa leads the way at eight-under par 568 with rounds of 281 and 287. No. 24 LSU is second at 574 with Purdue in third at 585. Minnesota's Erik Van Rooyen is the individual leader at six under (138). Iowa's Ian Vandersee is second at minus five. Curtis Thompson of LSU is two shots back at four under playing as an individual.
Sunday's final round is a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Chattanooga is paired with Iowa State and UNCW. The trio opens on holes 9-12. Live stats can be accessed on GoMocs.com on the men's golf schedule page.
