Chattanooga Mocs Football Postgame Notes
Furman at Chattanooga
Finley Stadium – Chattanooga, Tenn.
Saturday – Oct. 12, 2013

TEAM
- The Mocs snapped a 20-year home losing streak to Furman with a 31-9 win over the Paladins in Finley Stadium tonight.  UTC improved to 4-2 overall and 2-1 in SoCon action.  Furman dropped to 2-4 overall and 1-2 in league play.

- UTC was 0-8 in Finley Stadium against Furman coming into the game.  The Mocs last home win in the series was a 45-42 win on Nov. 20, 1993, at Chamberlain Field.  Coincidentally, the Chamberlain Pavilion, commemorating UTC’s former on-campus stadium, was dedicated earlier today and members of the Chamberlain Family were in attendance.

- UTC ran for 218 yards tonight, the fifth straight game with 200 yards for the Mocs.  First time with a string that long since 2005.

- Furman was held without a TD for the first time since a 7-6 loss at Wofford in 2003.

- The Mocs held a SoCon opponent without a TD for the first time since a 24-9 win at Samford on Nov. 5, 2011.

- Furman gained 189 yards of total offense.  Fewest yards allowed by UTC to a Division I opponent since 165 against Tennessee Tech in a 31-7 win on Aug. 31, 2006.  Fewest against a SoCon foe since 174 vs. VMI in a 27-14 win on Oct. 14, 2000.
