Mocs Advance in Day 2 at Baras Classic
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's tennis team wrapped up day two at the UTC Steve Baras Fall Classic at the Champions Club this afternoon.  Senior William Disterdick and sophomore Pavels Grigorjevs advanced to the finals of the No. 4 doubles main draw on Sunday.

Seniors Manuel Barroetavena (Buenos Aires, Argentina) and Ankit Chopra (Chandigrah, India) both lost their semifinal singles matches.  Barroetavena fell to ETSU's Rogerio Ribeiro in the top draw (6-1, 6-1).  Chopra was playing in the No. 3 Flight and lost to Samford's Austin Ackers (6-3, 6-1).

Disterdick (Hixson, Tenn.) and Grigorjevs (Riga, Latvia) posted an 8-2 win over Guilherme Pansera and Sam Kellett in the semis of the No. 4 doubles flight.  They will face UNCG's Danny Mack and Cameron Smith in Sunday's finals at 8:30 a.m. (E.D.T.).

Disterdick is also the lone singles player still alive for the Mocs.  He defeated Kennesaw State's Matthew Johnson (6-0, 6-2) in the semifinals of the No. 4 backdraw.  He will meet Lee's Patrick Kim in tomorrow's finals at 10:00 a.m.

Senior's Roberto Vieira (Bedfordview, South Africa) and Chris Smith (Johnson City, Tenn.) advanced to the finals of the No. 1 doubles backdraw.  Chopra and senior Stephen Crofford (Franklin, Tenn.) are also in the No. 3 backdraw finals.
