Men's Tennis Falls to Elon in SoCon Semis

The Mocs had been to the title match each of the last two years.
Elon claimed the doubles point and the top three singles matches to advance to the finals and end UTC’s season.
The Phoenix took the first and third doubles matches with the Mocs claiming the second spot in a win by juniors Razvan Axente and Badr Bouabdellah.
Elon took out the top of the Mocs’ singles order. Damon Gooch defeated Bouabdellah, 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1, Anuwat Dalodom got past senior Mark Fynn, 6-0, 6-2 at No. 2 and Mason Schermerhorn beat sophomore Peter Sauska at No. 3, 6-1, 6-2.
Sophomore Tim Mittiga (No. 4), Axente (No. 5) and junior Michael Hangstefer (No. 6) did not finish their respective matches before the outcome was clinched.
UTC concludes with an impressive 17-7 overall record. Elon improves to 22-2.
