STATESBORO, Ga. --- The men’s tennis team captured its second consecutive 4-3 Southern Conference victory Sunday with a one-point win at Georgia Southern.

Freshman Robert Diamond’s 7-5, 6-2 win at the No. 6 singles position over GSU’s Rasim Magafurov clinched the win for the Mocs and improved their team record to 12-8 overall and 3-6 in the SoCon.

The Eagles, 8-11, 4-5, took the early 1-0 lead by winning the first and third doubles matches.

Chattanooga earned three more straight sets victories in the singles competition before Diamond’s match clincher to make up for the doubles loss.
