The eighth-seeded Mocs, 12-10, got back in the match with Badr Bouabdellah's 6-4, 6-2 win over Mickael Boyer at the second singles spot, and Razvan Axente was a 6-4, 6-4 winner over Steven Myers at No. 3 singles.
Senior Pavel Vostrikov and freshman Rick van de Bovenkamp each took their opponents to a third set. Vostrikov was ahead, 6-3, 2-6, 5-0 in the third set over Joe Nicolazziwhen the match was clinched. Van de Bovenkamp did not survive his 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 matchup at No. 5 with Chris Carlton.
