Badr Bouabdellah Named All-SoCon for Men's Tennis

Men’s tennis player Badr Bouabdellah was named Second-Team All-Southern Conference at the No. 2 singles position, the SoCon office announced at this past weekend’s Tennis Championships.


Bouabdellah, a senior from Barcelona, Spain, went 13-8 overall during the dual match season but a perfect 7-0 at the No. 2 position.


He compiled a 6-3 singles mark against SoCon competitors and was a 6-4, 6-2 winner over College of Charleston’s Mickael Boyer in the first round of the SoCon Tournament.


Bouabdellah earned All-SoCon honors in 2006 at the No. 3 doubles position with his former partner, Artyom Vlasenko.


Departed senior Mark Fynn was a Second-Team All-SoCon selection for singles last season.
