Head Coach Carlos Garcia:
"We have some goals within our program, and we did accomplish one of those goals by winning a SoCon doubles point with a lot of energy and a lot of enthusiasm and a lot of heart. Maybe we weren't used to being in this position. We have a young team, it's time to take that momentum next time we get a lead and try to seal the deal. We had a great opportunity today and we let it slip away."
On carrying the momentum over into singles:
"It's just an experience, it's not easy. I just hope it's something we can bounce back from. We're going to figure out in less than 24 hours, that's the beauty of tennis. We didn't have the intensity in singles that we had in doubles. And if we can carry over that intensity over the full five hours I think we can win some matches."
"We kind of got down on ourselves when we started to lose. We've got to show more heart and passion than that. Chris and Roberto had great singles wins. Hopefully when others guys see that, it can spread out to the rest of the team."
On the play of freshman Roberto Vieira:
"He's starting to separate himself as a premier conference player. He still has a learning curve at No. 1 but he's played enough matches that he's starting to get comfortable playing high. I think today was a good matchup for him. Even though he is still young, I had a feeling he was a little tougher and he proved it today."
