Tresnan (Apopka, Fla.) defeated Liberty's Guillem Secanell (6-3, 6-3) in consolation action. Seniors Manuel Barroetavena (Buenos Aires, Argentina) and Stephen Crofford (Franklin, Tenn.), along with freshman Pavels Grigorjevs (Riga, Latvia), all lost their consolation matches today.
Barroetavena fell to Armstrong Atlantic's Daniel Regan (3-6, 6-3, 1-0 (5)) in three sets. Crofford lost to Lipscomb's David Salazar (6-0, 6-4) while Grigorjevs dropped his match to Kennesaw State's Alexander Pena (6-0, 6-2).
The Mocs are back on the court on Sept. 29-30 when they host the UTC Steve Baras Fall Classic. Action takes place at the Champions Club in Chattanooga.
