Barroetavena (Buenos Aires, Argentina) opened the day with a (6-1, 6-4) win over Louisville's Alex Gornet. He followed that with a (6-4, 6-0) win over Winthrop's Yuta Hirokawa to advance to the semifinals of the Orange Consolation.
Disterdick (Hixson, Tenn.) posted two wins in the Volunteer Back draw to advance to the finals. He beat Wright State's Viljami Rahnasto (6-2, 6-2) and Aaron Madaris (6-2, 6-3).
Disterdick also had a win in doubles action with teammate sophomore Pavels Grigorjevs (Riga, Latvia). They defeated Dayton's Kyle MacDonald and Enzo Milano to advance to the finals of the Volunteer Doubles main draw.
Seniors Roberto Vieira (Bedfordview, South Africa) and Chris Smith, along with Ankit Chopra (Chandigrah, India) and Stephen Crofford (Franklin, Tenn.) will compete in doubles consolations tomorrow.
