Mocs Soccer Earns NSCAA Team Academic Award
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's soccer team, led by Head Coach J.D. Kyzer, earned the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award the association announced.

The Mocs posted a team GPA of 3.29 last year and earned its fourth team academic award for their efforts in the classroom. A total of 503 women's teams were recognized with GPA's ranging from 3.0 to 3.71, posted by Grace College in Winona Lake, Ind.

Last year the Mocs placed 10 student-athletes on the Dean's List in the spring semester and 14 on the AD Honor Roll and included four perfect 4.0 GPA's. In the fall, 14 earned a spot on the AD Honor Roll with 12 named to the Dean's List and five 4.0 GPA's. Eleven members of the soccer team were named to the Southern Conference All-Academic Honor Roll and seven earned the SoCon Commissioner's Medal for posting a GPA of 3.50 or higher.

Chattanooga earned the NSCAA Academic Team Award in 1999, 2009, 2010 and 2012.
