Dewart Named SoCon Basketball Player of the Week
SPARTANBURG, S.C. - University of Tennessee at Chattanooga's Ashlen Dewart (Spartanburg, S.C.) has been named the Southern Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for all games through December 10.

Dewart, a junior forward, is leading the Lady Mocs in scoring with 14.9 points per game and is averaging 5.9 rebounds per game. In Chattanooga's win over Alabama, Dewart scored a team-high 19 points and pulled down eight boards. She scored the first 11 points of the second half and gave Chattanooga its largest lead of the game in that span. She was selected the College Sports Madness Southern Conference Player of the Week for her performance.

Dewart is second in the SoCon in field goal percentage making 51 percent of her attempts and seventh in the league in scoring.
