THE TEAM BEHIND OUR TEAMS
What is The UTC Mocs Club?
The UTC Mocs Club is "The Team Behind Our Teams" and the annual fundraising arm for The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Athletics Department. Support from each UTC Mocs Club member benefits over 300 UTC student-athletes. Currently over 500 members commit themselves to help offset the rising educational costs for the UTC Athletics Department.
As the cost of education continue to rise, the need to offset scholarship expenses remain amongst our most pressing and critical annual needs. By joining The UTC Mocs Club, your membership gift – no matter what the size – will help provide UTC student-athlete’s with the resources needed for comprehensive excellence.

Methods of Giving
Annual Cash Gifts
Cash, checks, and credit card gifts are the most common ways of contributing and are always acceptable. All checks should be made payable to UTC Athletics with the memo line reading UTC Mocs Club. Gifts made to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga are tax-deductible as a charitable contribution. In most cases, the IRS has determined that gifts made to the UTC Mocs Club are 80% tax-deductible if the donor receives some benefit (in the form of priority seating benefits) in exchange for the donation. You may however, request or decline any or all benefits associated with UTC Mocs Club membership therefore your donation would be 100% tax-deductible.
The UTC Mocs Club accepts contributions via Visa and MasterCard and/or through an installment plan.
Many companies and organizations provide matching gift programs for employee benefits. Ask your Human Resources office about your employees matching gift program and watch grows to The UTC Mocs Club! Enclose the matching gift form from your Human Resources office along with your current Mocs Club contribution to increase your contribution and benefits level.
If you plan on using your companies matching gift program toward your minimum required contribution, the matching gift must be received in full by December 31, 2009. Please be aware that matching gift programs require a considerable amount of time for processing and verification.
Gifts In Kind
A donation of goods replacing cash contributions can also be made to the UTC Mocs Club. In most cases, The UTC Mocs Club donor benefits at the corresponding giving levels are extended in the exchange for the gifts-in-kind or pledge.
All gifts-in-kind must be approved by the UTC Athletics Development office before UTC Mocs Club benefits can be awarded. These goods must be meaningful and provide budget relief to the UTC Department of Athletics.
Financial Assets: Stocks, Bonds, Mutual Funds
Gifts of appreciated securities can help you avoid capital gains taxes, while providing UTC Athletics with a generous gift.
Other Methods of Giving
Gifts to The UTC Mocs Club may also take other forms including real estate, personal property, and planned gifts (endowments, life insurance policy, bequests, trusts, annuities, and securities). Please contact the UTC Athletics Development office for further details and information.

Q. How will I be selected for parking at football and basketball?
A. Parking will be selected annually based on the donation and priority point level of each donor within the levels of The UTC Mocs Club. For football, the VIP Parking Lot will be issued first, followed by the Pavilion Parking Lot. For basketball, lots will be issued in the following order: Lot 35, 20, 32, 33, 31. Please remember, you must hold season tickets for football or basketball and be a donor to The UTC Mocs Club in order to receive a parking pass for that particular sport.
Q. How can I purchase a VIP Football Parking Permit?
A. In order to purchase a VIP football parking permit you must be a football season ticket holder and make a minimum annual contribution/pledge of $700 to the UTC Mocs Club by August 1, 2012.
Q. How do I obtain entry into the hospitality areas for both Football and Men’s Basketball?
A.New for 2012-13, the donor benefit of Hospitality will be at the $1,000 level for both football and men’s basketball. This is an increase in level from last season and it is our hope to improve further upon the offerings and the location so that the donors who qualify for this benefit see the value they deserve.
Q. Does my contribution for priority football tickets qualify me for priority basketball tickets?
A. Yes! Only one donation is required for priority seating to both football and men’s basketball. You do not have to make separate donations to each sport to qualify. (Example: John Moc makes a $150 donation in May 2012 so that he may access priority seating at football for the 2012 season. If John Moc later chooses to participate with purchasing basketball season tickets, his $150 donation made in May 2012 will
apply towards his priority access to purchase 2012-13 basketball season tickets.)
