ETSU Match Replaced with Blue & Gold Scrimmage

The Chattanooga Mocs women’s tennis team will host a Blue-Gold Scrimmage on Friday, Jan. 24, at the McCallie School in Chattanooga.  Match time is set for 5:00 p.m. at the Stang-Voges Tennis Center.

ETSU pulled out of Friday’s scheduled home opener with the Mocs last week, so head coach Jeff Clark decided to continue with tomorrow’s exhibition.  The home opener will now be next week against Lipscomb.  Match time against the Bison is set for 6:00 p.m. at the McCallie School on Friday, Jan. 31.

UTC is 1-0 after sweeping Monday’s match at Austin Peay.  Coach Clark has five of his top six, and eight of nine letter winners, back from last year’s team that went 18-6.  That was the most wins for the program since 1991.  The Mocs also finished fifth in the Southern Conference with a 6-4 league mark.
