The women’s tennis team will look for its first Southern Conference victory of the season Saturday as it hosts Appalachian State.
The match, which begins at 1 p.m., has been moved from the Champion’s Club outdoor venue indoors to the Manker-Patten Tennis Club because of anticipated cold weather.
The Lady Mocs have lost three straight, two in SoCon play.
Appalachian State is 4-4 on the year and 0-1 in the league, a 7-0 SoCon loss at Wofford. The Mountaineers’ wins have come against North Carolina Central,
ASU took two duals from the Lady Mocs last season, 4-3 in
Chattanooga Head Coach Jeff Clark is expected to use the same lineup he put on the court last week against Elon, with senior Lindsey Ballard leading the way at the No. 1 position.
Likely to round out the lineup are junior Beata Knizat at No. 2, senior Bonnie Adams at No. 3, and freshmen Grace Robinette, Annie Green and Arianna Sanjines at the fourth, fifth and sixth spots.
